Hudco releases fund for Bengal
FEBRUARY 3: The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (Hudco) has sanctioned a loan assistance of Rs 209.34 crore to West Bengal Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation (WBIFDC) for restoration and reconstruction of embankment-cum roads and infrastructure schemes in the state. While an amount of Rs 59.34 crore has been sanctioned for rconstruction of embankment-cum-roads to protect human settlements in 12 districts of the state, a line of credit of Rs 150 crore has been approved for strengthening and widening of roads, an Hudco release said.The release said the two schemes sanctioned by Hudco were part of the total loan package of Rs 750 crore already approved in-principle for urban infrastructure schemes. Of the Rs 750 crore, Rs 350 crore was approved for roads and Rs 400 crore for drainage and embankment-cum-roads. Copyright © 2000 Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Ltd.
