BYL's first flat wagon consignment

FEBRUARY 3: Bharat Yantra Nigam (BYN) has handed over the first consignment of 30 railway flat wagons to Container Corporation (Concor) which have been upgraded by group company Triveni Structurals Ltd. Concor has placed an order to revamp and upgrade 400 flat wagons out of its existing fleets. BYN had handed over the job to TSL. Concor, under the administrative control of the ministry of railways has a large fleet of wagons which are used for carrying freight containers by rail. These wagons are being upgraded to make multi-modal operations more efficient. This is the first time that Concor has entrusted such work on its flat wagons to an agency other than railway workshops, says the company release.
