MUMBAI, FEBRUARY 4: Calcutta-based RS Software has chalked out business expansion plans for the next two fiscal years. Within the next six to nine months, the company plans to open software development centres in different parts of the country. At present, it has two development centres in Calcutta.Once these centres become operational, the company will raise its capital at international stock exchanges in early 2002. ``These plans are yet to be formalised,'' revealed RS Software vice-chairman and managing director Raj Jain.
RS Software is a 100 per cent export-oriented unit developing management of legacy application to clients spread across the US and Europe. Web-based legacy systems, Jain says, is the next pot of gold for Indian software service business after the Y2K.
RS Software has already created a niche for itself as it is one of the pioneers in this field.
It provides services to financial sector, retail business, health-services and the manufacturing industry.
The company expects to achieve a sales target of Rs 70 crore with a Rs 11-crore PAT by March 2000, up from last year's Rs 40 crore sales and Rs 6 crore PAT.
