VSNL unveils ATM network to boost Net traffic
Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd is setting up a high-speed large asynchronous tranfer mode (ATM) backbone network to boost Internet traffic. The telecom major is also investing around Rs 35-40 crore to set up Internet exchanges to assist other Internet services providers in their distribution.
