Lucent Technologies India appoints MD 

 
FEBRUARY 1: US multinational Lucent Technologies on Tuesday announced appointment of Vijay K Gupta as managing director of Lucent Technologies India. Gupta, prior to his current appointment, was the president and member of the board of Reliance Telecom, a company statement said. It said that Gupta had also served the company as the president and managing director of Tata Lucent Technologies and managing director of Tata Telecom. Lucent Technologies currently employees more than 700 people in India.
