Further fall in copra prices 

 
FEBRUARY 1: Copra prices declined further on the spices market in Mumbai following persistent arrivals from the producing regions. Copra Rajapur Mumbai fell by Rs 300 per quintal to close at Rs 4,600 per quintal. Copra office Alleppey dropped by Rs 75 per quintal to Rs 3,250 per quintal and copra edible Mumbai by Rs 50 per quintal also slipped to Rs 3,850 per quintal. There was no change in copra office Calicut, black pepper and ginger prices. Following were closing prices in Rupees per quintal with previous rates in brackets.(Reuters & Agencies)
