Heads of Nokia, ITU to visit India next week
JANUARY 31: Finnish telecom major Nokia chairman and CEO Jorma Ollila and International Telecommunication Union secretary general Yoshio Utsumi will visit India next week. The Nokai chief and ITU secretary general's visit assumes significance in the light of the changes in the telecom policy, especially the announcement of a new Telecom Regulatory Authority of India and the Telecom Tribunal.Industry sources said the ITU chief's visit is part of a special focus on developing countries and gives a message to the international investor community about India's potential for investment, especially in the telecom sector.
