Award for NHPC CMD 

 
JANUARY 25: Institute of Engineers has awarded NHPC chairman Yogendra Prasad for his contribution towards promotion of hydro-power development in the country. The award was presented by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the World Congress on Sustainable Development organised by the Institute of Engineers at Calcutta recently.

Prasad has been associated with the power sector for over three decades. After serving in various capacities in NHPC, Prasad became the CMD in October 1997. He has written more than 50 technical papers on various subjects relating to hydel development in the country published in national and international journals.
