New Delhi, Jan 25: ITC Hotels on Tuesday reported a decline in net profit by 29.8 per cent to Rs 3.78 crore during the third quarter of the current fiscal as against Rs 5.40 crore during the same period last year.For the April-December period, ITC Hotels gross profit stood at Rs 11.68 crore, up 16 per cent, as compared to Rs 10.06 crore the previous year.The company's foreign exchange earnings for the October-December period took a 3.4 per cent dip to Rs 16.14 crore as compared to the Rs 16.71 crore of the year-ago period.
While the income from operations for the third quarter dipped by 1.2 per cent to Rs 34.51 crore as against previous year's Rs 34.93 crore, the total expenditure for the third quarter was Rs 26.98 crore, up by 3.33 per cent, against the previous year's Rs 26.11 crore.
The company's income from operations for the first nine-month period rose by 6.2 per cent over last year's Rs 82.73 crore to Rs 87.91 crore.
While total expenditure for the same period increased 3.33 per cent to Rs 73.72 crore against Rs 70.05 crore of the year-ago period, foreign exchange earnings were down by 6.5 per cent to Rs 41.58 crore as against Rs 44.48 crore.
