Clariant net jumps 19% to Rs 4.39 cr
Clariant (India) has reported a 19.3 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 4.39 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 1999, as its sales rose by 16 per cent to Rs 69.9 crore during the quarter. For the nine months ended December 31, 1999, Clariant's net profit at Rs 11.62 crore is up by 13.5 per cent over the same period in the previous year, a company release said.

Shree Krishna Polyester profit up
Shree Krishna Polyester, a part of the Rs 2,000 crore Shree Krishna group, has announced a 64 per cent hike in net profit to Rs 25.42 crore. Net sales were up from Rs 142.57 crore in third quarter of 1998 to Rs 163.95 crore, a growth of 15 per cent. Gross profit registered an increase of 62 per cent at Rs 29.47 crore as against Rs 18.15 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Surya Roshini posts Rs 4.52 net
Lighting equipment manufacturer Surya Roshini has recorded a net profit of Rs 4.52 crore in the third quarter of 1999-2000which is 23.5 per cent higher than Rs 3.66 crore reported in the corresponding period last year. The company reported a sales of Rs 206.40 crore in the third quarter which is 13.09 per cent higher than the figure of Rs. 182.50 crore achieved last year.

Sona Koyo registers Rs 6.8cr net
Sona Koyo Steering Systems made a net profit of Rs 6.8 crore in the first nine months (April-Dec, 1999) as compared to Rs 44 lakh profit during April-December of the previous fiscal. Sona has posted a net profit of Rs 1.69 crore for the third quarter ended December, 1999 with a turnover of Rs 55 crore. The company had made a loss of Rs 2.52 crore in the corresponding period of 1998-99. The net profit for the full financial year ended March,1999 was Rs. 5.73 crore.

IEC's Q3 profit jumps to Rs 1.04 cr
IEC Software on Monday reported a net profit of Rs 1.04 crore during the third quarter ended December 31, 1999, a rise of 489 per cent from the net profit of Rs 17 lakh in the same quarter in 1998. The totalincome during the three-month period of October to December stood at Rs 3.89 crore compared to Rs 1.64 crore in the same period the previous year, a company statement said here.

Ind-Swift records Rs 1.55cr net
Ind-swift Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 1.55 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 1999 as compared to Rs 71 lakh in the corresponding period last year.

Vintage Cards turnover up 54%
Vintage cards registered a 45 per cent increase to Rs 1.63 crore for the quarter ended December 31 from Rs 1.12 crore for the corresponding period last year. The net sales showed a growth of 54 per cent to Rs 16.52 crore over the corresponding period in the previous year. Vintage which went into business in 1983 manufactures greeting cards, posters and mugs.

Marico net dips 11%
Marico Industries has reported a 11.7 per cent drop in net profit to Rs 7.78 crore in the quarter ended December 1999, as compared to Rs 8.81 crore in the corresponding period last year. Sales duringthe period grew by 11.46 per cent to Rs 172.1 crore. The company said that during December 1999, workmen at the company's Sewree plant availed of a VRS and were paid an aggregate amount of Rs 1.78 crore.

Nalco posts Rs 157.76cr net
Public sector National Aluminium Company on reported a 355 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 157.76 crore in the third quarter of current fiscal compared to Rs 34.7 crore in the corresponding period last year. Sales of were up to Rs 503.08 crore.
