Elf plans to expand plant capacity
JANUARY 16: Lubricant major Elf Lubricants, is expanding its state-of-the-art Mahape plant capacity from 20,000 metric tonnes to 30,000 metric tonnes. The blending and filling plant at a Mahape near Navi Mumbai, would add an additional 10,000 metric tonnes capacity this year to meet the growing demand for lubricants in Indian market, Elf India vice-president Sanjoy Guha said. Elf, which set up base in India six years ago, is planning aggressive marketing through a network of 42 depots, 370 distributors and 12,000 dealers across the country.
