Open mind on Cogentrix project
Bangalore, January 3: Karnataka chief minister S M Krishna said on Monday that he had an open mind on the issue of the Cogentrix project, near Mangalore, and the Cabinet would take a decision once the committee constituted by the state government to look into the demand of `Escrow' cover by the Mangalore Power Company (MPC), submitted its report. Asked by reporters here if he had heard any new word from MPC, Krishna replied in the negative. "It's not worth reacting," Krishna observed when asked to comment on Opposition leader's allegation that the government constituted the committee, headed by power expert Deepak Parekh, as part of its `delaying tactics' to discourage Cogentrix and welcome another multinational Enron.
