Dabur not to divest Real fruit juice brand
Dabur India on Monday stated that it does not intend to divest its Real fruit juice brand. Quoting latest ORG reports, company spokesperson said Real has gained market share from competitors in the last one year. The brand is, in fact, spearheading Dabur's entry into processed food market, which has been identified by McKinsey and Dabur as business for future growth. The company further rejected any problem with packaging or sourcing of raw material. The brand was launched in 1996.Voltas board meet on Jan 27
The board of Voltas will meet on January 27 to appoint a new chairman following the retirement of AH Tobaccowala. Tobaccowala, who is 75, retired effective January 1 but will continue as a director on the Voltas board, according to a release. He has been with the Tata group for 47 years and with Voltas for the past 27 years. Ishad Hussain, who is presently the vice-chairman since April 1999, is tipped to take over as chairman.
Agrimore sews up deal
Agrimore, promoted by Atul Ltd of the Lalbhai group, has concluded a deal to acquire the agrochem manufacturing facility of Cyanamid Agro for Rs 8.4 crore. Agrimore has also signed a supply agreement with Cyanamid Agro under which the former will exclusively sell certain agrochemicals (valued at around Rs 50 crore) to Cyanamid Agro, a joint venture of American Cyanamid Company and Atul.
Auto Enterprises 2000
Over 200 auto ancillary and component manufacturers are expected to display their products, including electrical components, pollution control devices, farm equipment, at the Auto Enterprise 2000 to be held in New Delhi from January 12. The show, jointly organised by CII and Sidbi, is being held concurrently with Asia's largest automotive show- Auto Expo 2000.
Chemists ink pact with Glaxo
All India Organisation and Chemist and Druggists has signed a memorandun of understanding with Glaxo India.
