C-DoT signs pact with Canada
CENTRE for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has signed an agreement with Communications Research Centre of Canada to collaborate in telecommunication and information technology projects. Zee launches new programmes
Zee News on Thursday announced the launch of two more news-related programmes `Third Umpire' and `Guftgu', to be telecast every Sunday from December 5. Zee news chief executive officer Satish Menon said the channel, apart from strengthening its prime-time news, was also developing weekend and morning programmes as its strong properties.
India, Singapore to focus on IT
IT has been identified as the new focus area of cooperation between India and Singapore. A business delegation comprising chief executives of CII companies which went on a two-day visit to Singapore earlier this week, held meetings with representatives from Singapore industry and government, including prime minister Goh Chok Tong. It has been agreed that CII will prepare an approach paper covering IT cooperation between the two countries.
Multiple Zones
Multiple Zones India Ltd (MZI), a subsidiary of the $700-million Multiple Zones International, is in an advanced stage of negotiation with two large venture capital funds to pick up an equity stake with a cap of Rs 15 crore, a top official said. "The deal with one of the well-known equity fund will be finalised earliest by mid-January," Gokul Tandan, director, corporate development, said.
Tata Freedom Card
Tata Communications on Thursday introduced a new stored-value SIM card, the Tata Freedom Card, with a remote recharge facility enabling subscribers to recharge their exhausted pre-paid cards without having to go to any shop.
