Cement dispatches in November have risen to 915,000 tonnes from 714,000 tonnes in November 1998 and production has increased to 891,000 tonnes from 673,000 tonnes, the official said. The official said dispatches in the April-November, 1999 period had grown to 6.755 million tonnes from 4.882 million in the year-ago period while output rose to 6.788 million tonnes from 4.890 million.

Figures for the current period are inclusive of the operations of L&T's subsidiary Narmada Cement Company Ltd while those for the previous period do not include the subsidiary's operations. It exported 134,000 tonnes of clinker in November 1999, the official said.
