Greece tenders to buy 60,000 T white sugar-trade

London, Nov 28: Greece's Hellenic Sugar Industry tendered to buy 60,000 tonnes of EU No. 2 white crystal sugar for delivery between December 1999 and August 2000, traders said on Thursday.

Traders said the tender followed another poor beet crop, which German analyst F.O. Light estimated at 240,000 tonnes, against 203,000 in 1998/99. The result of the tender was expected next week.
