Avon goes trendy
Avon has introduced 16 new shades within their Color Trend range, targeted at young girls. The range includes 10 new shades of Color Trend Nail Enamel and three new shades of Color Trend Lipstick, in addition to its eight existing shades. Avon has also launched three young, trendy colours in Lipliners. The nail enamel is priced at Rs 59 with a special introductory price of Rs 53.10, while lipsticks are for Rs 75 each, with an introductory price of Rs 69. Lipliner is available at an MRP of Rs 59 with an introductory price of Rs 53.10.

Capsules for daily health
From its healthcare range, The Himalaya Drug Co has launched Ayurvedic Concepts Daily Health capsules. A herbal formulation that relieves stress and mental fatigue and restores healthy equilibrium in the body, the capsules are made from fruit extracts of mango, amla, grapes and carrots. Daily Health capsules are available in all the major cities in bottles of 60 capsules, priced at Rs 60.

Oh,Brother
Metro Appliances, part of the Rs 300 crore Metro Group has introduced Japanese automation major Brother Industries' sewing machines in India. The company has launched three hi-tech models - Diana, Boutique and Ultra Stich and will be marketed under the brand name of `Brother-Ortem'. Priced between Rs 8,000 and Rs 12,000, the Brother-Ortem range of sewing machines will be available through 25 dealers and distributors all over the country.

Sweet & Sour Knorr
International Bestfoods Limited (IBL), makers of Knorr soups, has launched a new variant-Knorr Sweet Sour Tomato soup-in India. The new variant, claims the company, is a well-balanced soup recipe with the right sweet and sour blend. Knorr Sweet Sour Tomato soup is available in 750 ml, sufficient for four to five servings and is priced at Rs 25.

Symbiosis meet on marketing
The Symbiosis Institute of Business Management is conducting its annual three-day national conference on marketing between November 27 and 29 at theTaj Palace in New Delhi. The theme of the conference is `Redefining markets: Strategic warfare'.

Jagdish Sheth, professor of marketing, Emroy University, Atlanta, USA, will deliver the keynote address on the first day. Renowned marketers, CEOs and academicians will discuss issues like: competing in turbulent markets and strategic options; brand speak - changing lifestyles; managing consumer loyalty and strengthening relationships; leveraging brands and creating corporate advantage; marketing communication; distribution challenges; ideas in e-space; and marketing revolution. The highlight of the event will be a video conferencing module which will invite speakers like Microsoft director Kavi Raj Singh from Seattle to interact with the participating delegates.
