Mumbai, Nov 24: Challenger Technologies Pvt Ltd, a Mumbai-based IT company has the unique distinction of being the first in India to launch a multi-level-marketing scheme that includes a myriad of IT products.Called EMPower, the scheme was formally launched in September 1999 and according to Kishore Mansingh, director, Challenger Technologies has already drawn 300 distributors. The scheme deals in the marketing of Challenger Technology products that include computers, Internet connections, multi-media products and also computer education.
Challenger Technologies already has a multimedia, post-production, computer hardware and computer education module in place for the past five years. The computer education division, called ADAC has a tie-up with the Digital Academy of Arts and Communications of the USA and offers high-end computer graphic training.
The company, with revenues in excess of Rs 2 crore, expects to more than double turnover every year for the next five years. Challenger intends to add around 5,000 distributors all over India apart from starting 50 education centres offering advanced graphic designing training.
