New Delhi, Nov 24: The Delhi Stock Exchange has entered into an agreement with Comsat Max for installation of a 250-VSAT network across the country.As per the agreement, Comsat Max will install the satellite-based communications network which will allow DSE to provide its members connectivity and online trading with the exchange from anywhere in India.The network is expected to be completed within four months. According to a company statement, the network will use both frequency and time division multiple access (FTDMA) and demand assigned multiple access (DAMA) technique over the VSAT network to ensure timely and reliable communications to all DSE members.
DSE president Ashok Agarwal said the system will help DSE expand in new cities and ensure larger trade volumes. DSE has already obtained the clearance from the DoT to connect their main system to the Comsat Max hub using a terrestrial link to be provided by MTNL and DoT.
