Shoppers' Stop stops at Delhi
The Rs 130 crore retail chain Shoppers' Stop will open its first outlet in Delhi on December 1, 1999 at Ansal's Plaza. The Delhi outlet of Shoppers Stop which is already present in Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Jaipur will be its fifth in the country.Promoted by the CL Raheja Group, Shoppers' Stop plans to expand into smaller towns besides opening an outlet in Chennai and adding one more in Delhi and Mumbai. It aims to take its turnover to Rs 1,000 crore by the year 2005.
`Skin-friendly' cotton trousers
Vinayaka Corporation has launched a new range of `skin-friendly' ready-to-wear wrinkle-free trousers made from 100 per cent cotton. The range includes casuals and formals and is unique for its `skin-friendly' USP.
Cotton Care, claims the company, sheds the traditional line of chemically treating the cloth about half-a-dozen times for making it wrinkle-free.
Targeted at fashion-conscious youth and working executives, the Cotton Care range is priced at Rs 700-900.
