Celebrating world-class
Last week at Harihar, AV Birla Group company Grasim's fibre and pulp plant witnessed a major quality initiative. Over a thousand employees gathered to implement the WCM (world class manufacturing) day. AV Birla group president (world class manufacturing) AM Singhvi is elated by the involvement shown not only by employees but also their families to make the WCM day a grand success. ``Various employee-involvement techniques such as quizzes, games, `best slogan', `best home', etc. took place and winners were rewarded on this day. This has led to a spirit oftogetherness among employees and has built in an inspirational drive also,'' says Singhvi.Prior to Harihar, the same initiative has already taken place at other plants of the AV Birla group companies, such as Bhiwani in Haryana and at Hindalco's plant in Uttar Pradesh.
