Penta Soft to float string of training units for IronCAD

Kochi, Nov 19: Penta Soft, the educational and training arm of the Chennai-based software developer and vendor, Pentafour Communications Ltd, will soon set up a string of authorised training centres throughout the country for imparting training in its latest three dimension engineering design product, IronCAD 3.0.

Pentafour is also in talks with leading global players for diversifying into new product lines in Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), Product Data Management (PDA) and e-engineering.

Launching its new three dimension engineering designing software IronCAD here on Thursday, Girish Thampi, deputy manager, products of Pentafour said the company has already firmed up plans for setting up a string of authorised training centres throughout India before the close of the calender year. "We have already set up our first authorised training centre in Bangalore recently. Our plan is to have one exclusive training centres for our product in all regions throughout the country before the turn of the century", Girish told The Financial Express.

He said, according to the plan, the company would select a local franchisee for setting up the training centre. The centres will charge a fee of Rs 45,000 per head for imparting a two month training in IronCAD. "We would also ensure that the selected candidates after training get a placement in reputed companies", Girish said.

He said the company is also in talks with a slew of software majors for marketing top-of-the-line products in CAM, PDM and e-engineering. However, he said the negotiations are in final stage and the name of possible partners could not be revealed now. He said, the Pentafour is looking for exclusive marketing rights of products from these companies.
