Crisil, CARE and DCR bag Sebi registration
Three rating agencies--Crisil, Care and Duff & Phelps Credit Rating-- have been granted the certificate of registration by Sebi under the sebi (credit rating agencies) regulations, 1999. Of them, Crisil is among the top five credit rating agencies in the world in terms of coverage and analytical strength and has the rare distinction of providing technical assistance and training to rating agencies in Malaysia and Israel.

Jindal's Rs 5-cr CP gets A1+ rating
Icra has assigned its highest safety `A1+' rating to the Rs 5-crore commercial paper issues of Sundram Clayton and Jindal Aluminium. "The ratings reflect strong competitive position, market dominance, conservative capital structure and healthy cash flows," a rating agency release issued in Mumbai on Tuesday said. Meanwhile, Icra has also downgraded the ratings assigned to the fixed deposit programmes of Nicco Uco Alliance Credit and Consortium Finance to adequate safety grade.

Krishnamurthy is SBI OSD
The chief general manager of the SBI Gujarat circle, R Krishnamurthy, has been appointed as the officer on special duty (insurance) at SBI's central office, Mumbai. Prior to the current assignment, Krishnamurthy had served as the general manager, SBI Capital Markets at New Delhi.

Centrum Forex unveils VTM card
Centrum Forex, a full-fledged money changer division of Centrum Finance Ltd, has launched the Visa Travel Money card. The Centrum-Visa Travel money co-branded card is launched in association with Citicorp Travel Payment Services. "The VTM card combines the benefits of traveller's cheques and cash and can be used at more than 520,000 Visa ATMs in over a 100 countries. In addition, the card is PIN-protected," a Centrum release said.
