Anderson Consulting all set

Sanjay Sardana
New Delhi, Nov 17: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (Ficci) in consultation with the Global consultancy major, Andersen Consulting has set its goal of achieving a profile and evolve activities to provide tangible value to its stakeholders. This will be in line with the services provided by organisations like the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), the US Chamber of Commerce and Japan Chambers and Thai Chambers.

The global consultancy firm is in the process of enhancing the Ficci brand and will be promoting international image of the Indian industry. Arthur Anderson has outlined the Ficci mission statement of providing a dynamic leadership to business in India which fosters an environment of growth and spirit of enterprises that will make India a globally competitive and socially responsive economy. Andersen Consulting, after carrying out a detailed interaction with its members has set aside four-point solution theme to attain the stated mission.

The solution theme states that the Chamber should provide tangible value to its stakeholders, manage and build the `Ficci' brand, promote international image of Indian industry and reinforce industry commitment to social responsibilities. Ficci President Sudhir Jalan, said here that the chamber would restructure its business units to provide result-oriented services to its members. Andersen consulting managing partner Sid Khanna said that the chamber has been advised to provide a single-point service to the constituents. The chamber has been a part and parcel of providing significant changes in the character of the Indian industry in case of multinationals like Hindustan Lever, Pepsi, ITC, Pfizer, Bayer, Mororola and Ericsson becoming the members.ÿ
