Bangalore, Nov 16: Former Lucent executive V Natarajan and four others have teamed up to kick off a networking services venture based in Bangalore. With proposed venture capital funding in the range of $4-8 million, the start-up christened Bangalore Labs will start operations early January. With targeted revenues of $30 million and manpower of 500 by 2003, the company will offer end-to-end solutions in network design, management and related services.
Unveiling the start-up's business plan, its director for sales and marketing TG Ramesh told media persons here on Tuesday that the company would be the first in the country focused entirely on networking and related services.
He said the suite of offerings includes network services, software development and training and certification. In network services, Bangalore Labs would offer onsite network services including design and audit as also implementation and maintenance while remote management would be offered as part of its offsite services.
On the software development front, the company already has a product in the pipeline to integrate e-mail and voice-mail, Ramesh said, adding that IPR registration was under way. Apart from virtual private network (VPN) product development, it would also offer security solutions customisation.
"As organisations integrate themselves with the networked economy, security will be of primary concern," he said.
