Jessop offer to Calcutta Metro 

 
JESSOP & Co Ltd has offered to service the old rakes of Calcutta Metro Rail, which have been disrupting the Metro services for over a year now.

Sources in Jessop said the company has already sent an application to the Metro Rail officials and will also forward the matter to railway minister Mamata Banerjee.

The rakes used by Metro Rail were imported more than a decade ago and there are hardly any spares available now, both inIndia and abroad.
