C Chitti Pantulu
Hyderabad, Nov 12: Richardson & Cruddas Ltd, a subsidiary of the Bharat Yantra Nigam Ltd (BYNL), has entered into a strategic alliance with two American companies--Baily Corporation and Walter Chiang Inc--to bid jointly for large BoT and multilateral funded projects.

Subsequent to successful bids, the two American companies would bring in the expertise and finances for executing large water treatment and sewrage treatment projects of 50 million litres per day capacity in India, Ken Sagar, director international operations at the Canadian venture company, Tertium International Inc, said.

Tertium along with United States Investments LLC, USA, another venture fund, were instrumental in working out the alliance between the BYNL subsidiary and the two american companies which are big names in the US water treatment business.

The alliance would open up many doors for the public sector company and allow it to pre-qualify for larger projects, initially within India itself and later for projects in surrounding SAARC and south-east Asian nations, he told The Financial Express.
