Siemens bags healthcare order Siemens Information Systems will implement its fully-integrated healthcare information system at the Bhopal Memorial Hospital trust project. The turnkey project, conceptualised by Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation, covers hardware, software, networking, infrastructure preparation, implementation, training, operations and annual maintenance for five years. This will entail use of 16k capacity smart cards for healthcare applications. The company has already implemented its hospital management system in two prestigious hospitals in Kochi and Ahmedabad.E-mail service from Pagelink Pagelink has launched mobile e-mail service. A subscriber can get his e-mail anywhere on his pager, according to a press release. For receiving e-mail, a subscriber has to instal a mobile e-mail software in his computer, which at pre-progrmmed time intervals automatically dials the ISP, down loads the e-mail and delivers it on the subscribers' pager through the Pagelinknetwork. This technology allows the paging subscriber the advantage of receiving e-mails on the move. The service is available free of cost to Pagelink customers as an introductory offer. COAI files intervention application Cellular Operators Association of India has filed an intervention application before the Delhi high court in a legal battle between the TRAI and the MTNL. COAI's intervention follows the court stay order on implementation of the CPP system from November 1. The association wishes to place certain facts on record and wants to explain what the CPP regime means for consumers and operators of cellular and basic phone services, said a release.
