Microsoft selects SmartForce for e-learning solutions

Neeraj Saxena
New Delhi, Nov 7: SmartForce, formerly known as CBT Systems, has been selected by Microsoft to provide e-learning solution for more than 600,000 Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCPs) worldwide.

The e-learning company will now offer a dedicated education website exclusively for MCPs. The solution includes online access to Microsoft-approved courseware and round-the-clock online mentoring by SmartMentors who will be Microsoft-certified, as well as numerous online learning resources geared to help MCPs deploy e-commerce, knowledge management and Windows 2000-based solutions.

The move holds significance for Indian software professionals as the country has so far churned out maximum number of MCPs in the world who would like an easier way to upgrade their Microsoft skills.

The solution will enable MCPs to stay in command of new Microsoft products and emerging technologies. The site will enable IT professionals and developers to develop and learn state-of-the art skills needed by MCPs to keep their MCPstatus current and to learn new skills from any computer with web access. They will be able to register for the site by logging on to the MCP secure site at https://partnering.one.microsoft.com/mcp. In addition, SmartForce will also offer e-learning solutions to help aspiring MCPs become certified at http//www.SmartForce.com.

Besides offering free and discounted online courseware on Microsoft and related technologies, the site will also do online assessment and provide certification preparation services, conduct online seminars, technical documentation and other rich knowledge assets.
