Dell Enterprise Systems has launched PowerEdge (PE) 2400, a new workgroup server. The new server incorporates technology and features to the workgroup server category. These new technologies include the latest developments in standards-based processors, chipsets, I/O and memory. The product also incorporates the latest Intel Pentium III processors with a 133 MHz front size bus as well as 64-bit, peer-to-peer PCI. The PowerEdge server also delivers greater internal storage capacity.Dynam International
The Chennai-based Dynam International on Thursday announced the launch of ``Millennium Plus''. The Millennium Plus is said to be the first and only card to be manufactured in the country, tested and certified by NSTL of the US. The card fits into any vacant ISA/EISA slot, either 8-bit or 16-bit on the motherboard and is compatible with all IBM PC and PS/2 machines. The user can just plug and play it on the computer and it does not interfere with any operating systems or software.
Hewlett Packard
Hewlett Packard (HP) has unveiled a new level of e-service integration tool called E-speak meant for e-service developers. The new software would provide an open platform for creating, composing, mediating, managing and accessing Internet-based e-services. It would also allow a resource to be virtualised and re-deployed as an e-service. E-speak would contain small software modules that perform basic e-service functions like authentication, authorisation, monitoring and domain-specific service advertising.
