Chennai, Oct 31: South Eastern Roadways/Road Transport Corporation (SER/RTC), part of the SER group, is planning to introduce web-based tracking of consignments in transit. The move is specially designed to provide quicker update to its clients on the movement of consignments. This system is likely to be in place by month-end.The project will enable the customers to know the detailed movement and delivery status of the consignments at any given time. The software will interface with the clients database and take the required information to generate the goods consignment (GC) note essential for the transport of goods, Vikas said.
