Net sales for the period under review increased by 6 per cent to Rs 155.73 crore as compared to Rs 146.95 crore in the previous year.

Profit before interest, depreciation and tax stood at Rs 45.95 crore as against Rs 41.67 crore for the previous year. The profit before tax of the company for the first six months of the year has gone up to Rs 17.43 crore compared to Rs 7.50 crore in the previous year, said a company release. Net sales during the April-September 1999 period rose to Rs 313.15 crore as against Rs 275.72 crore recorded during the corresponding period last year.
