Iran replaced Indonesia as the top destination latest year, taking 1.66 million tonnes, followed by Egypt, on 1.50 million tonnes. Indonesia was third, with 1.41 million tonnes, down from 2.42 million tonnes in the year before. AWB made no comment on the figures on Friday. However, Indonesian purchases of Australian wheat were affected by inroads made by increased United States wheat sales to Indonesia, through donations and subsidised export schemes, in the latest year.
