HCL Comnet to help companies evolve into e-corporations

Sudarshan Kumar
Bangalore, Oct 31: HCL Comnet Ltd, which is expecting its ISP licence shortly, is aiming to provide Internet connectivity through its V-SAT network to corporate and institutional subscribers.

The company, a leading player in connectivity, IT services management and complete security policies, is hoping to make a hit at the Bangalore IT.Com '99 exposition that gets under way on Monday.

HCL Comnet regional manager Vinod Chandran told The Financial Express that his company was focused on helping customers evolve into global e-corporations through managed secure connectivity for e-business applications.

``With our expertise across the entire spectrum of satellite, wireless and terrestrial communications apart from security, our IT services management package will help integrate widespread technologies over various platforms to ensure high-performance networking,'' he said.

Added to that is the company's network security group with certified professionals to address the security needs of customers.

The company will be conducting demonstration-seminars on its offerings (stall 44, STPI pavilion) through the five days of the event. Chandran said he was optimistic about the business prospects and added that business visitors would be issued privilege cards entitling them to discounts on network security products.

HCL Comnet's Central IT Service Management Center offers tools, policies, processes to define, monitor, manage and deliver service-level agreements for complex, multi-vendor, heterogeneous, distributed IT systems. With its global partners including CheckPoint, Netpartners and SecurityDynamics, it is equipped to deliver end-to-end solutions in enterprise-wide security, according to the company.
