IVL offers web solutions on tax, foreign trade management

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 27: The German Software subsidiary IVL India has launched six add-on web-enabled solutions for tax compliance and foreign trade fetvm management. The solution-suite is to be unveiled at Sapphire `99, the three-day IT exhibition at Singapore, beginning October 31, according to Sunil Gupta, managing director, IVL, India.

As part of the company's strategy of making strides in the e -commence and internet application development, IVL India has also signed an agreement with imc GmbH, a German company specialising in Web-based projects and consultancy services. imc Gmbh, the founder of first private internet university that awards business engineering degrees, has already undertaken training of three internet developers in the IVL India fold in Germany.

IVL India will provide the development support in various e-commerce, e-learning, multimedia and internet-based aplications to imc Gmbh, Gupta said. The foreign trade management module, to be presented at Sapphire `99 gives solutions in export and import related procedures and related documentation. The statutory and taxation compliance solutions cater to most of the taxation requirements in India and abroad.

All the solutions are highly customizable and use advanced SAP R/3 technologies of IDOC, work flow, messaging and remote function calls. Each is priced at about Rs 2.5 lakh initally, with 15 percent for later-stage updating, Gupta told a press conference, here, on Wednesday.

The company, which focusses on mission-critical application in the SAP R/3 development platform, has recorded a growth rate of 200 percent in three years and is set to cross the Rs 10 crore mark in two years time.

The new focus of the company on internet-enabled applications cover solutions like on-line transactions like tax payments, vehicle registrations, job applications etc, Gupta said.
