Clariant H1 net at Rs 7.23 crClariant India has registered a 10 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 7.23 crore for the first half ended September 30, 1999 against Rs 6.56 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Sales turnover rose to Rs 115.75 crore as against Rs 113.97 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Colour-Chem turnover declines
Colour-Chem has registered a 7.34 per cent increase in net profit for the half year ended September 30,1999 at Rs 15.06 crore as against Rs 14.03 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Net sales fell to Rs 153.14 crore as compared with Rs 166.59 crore in the previous year.
Kinetic Motor net up 25%
Kinetic Motor Company has posted a 25.65 per cent growth in net profit in the second quarter of the current fiscal year at Rs 2.89 crore from Rs 2.3 crore in the same period of last year. The net sales of the company also rose by 14 per cent during the second quarter to Rs 105.47 crore from Rs 92.49 crore in the same period of last year, Kinetic Motor said in a statement.
Sun Pharma's R&D centre
Sun Pharmaceuticals Ltd plans to establish a campus earmarked entirely for new drug research in Chennai at an initial investment of Rs 40 crore. The centre's thrust will be in three therapy areas where it expects to develop research leads for therapeutic alternatives, a company press release said. This will be Sun Pharma's third research centre, in addition to the ones in Vadodara and in Kalina in Mumbai.
Texmaco posts Rs 35.96lakh H1 net
Texmaco has posted Rs 35.96 lakh net profit for the first half of the current fiscal while sales dropped to Rs 29.13 crore from Rs 51.27 crore in the corresponding half of 1998-99. The company did not make any provision for tax. Texmaco president Ramesh Maheswari said, "The poor results were on account of the late receipt of wagon orders from Indian Railways but we hope to record better results by the end of this year".
Kusharga posts Rs 46lakh net
Kushagra Software has posted a net profit of Rs 46 lakhs on a turnover of Rs 2.04 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 1999. The company had an EPS of Rs 5.36 on an equity capital of Rs 3.40 crore.
