Vijay Advani is MD for Templeton's east regionVijay Advani, chief executive officer of Templeton Asset Management (India), has been appointed the managing director for the mid/near east region for Templeton Worldwide. Advani will be responsible for all marketing activities of Templeton in this region including India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Cyprus, mid-east and South Africa. Advani will be moving to Singapore during the fourth quarter of this year. Templeton in India has four funds with assets under management of over Rs 750 crore.
ICICI Safety Bonds
ICICI's public issue of fourth tranche of Safety Bonds to mobilise up to Rs 600 crore will open for subscription from October 15. The issue, which includes a Rs 300-crore greenshoe option, offers four types of bonds -encash bond, tax-saving bond, regular income bond, and money-multiplier bond. The encash bond provides the facility of accessing the savings, after one year on any working day at any of the specified branches of ICICI Bank or at ICICI Infotech Services Ltd.
ICICI said an investor will earn an annualised yield of 10.5 per cent for the first year, 11.4 per cent for the second and 12.1 per cent for the third. The tax-saving bond offers five options, including two in the form of a deep discount bond.
NSE suspends brokers
The National stock exchange on Tuesday suspended some members for not meeting the requirements for continued membership of the exchange/clearing corporation. The suspended members were Anam Kurien Securities Ltd, Fortune Equities Ltd, Kamal Securities Ltd, Nemani Stock Broking (P) Ltd, Gajanan Securities Services Ltd, Indo Pacific Securities Ltd, and Shaswat Consultant (P) Ltd, an NSE release said.
NSE adds new shares for trading
The National Stock Exchange has introduced some more securities for trading on the capital market segment of the exchange with effect from Wednesday. The new securities in the physical segment were the equity shares of Visual Soft (India) Ltd, in debentures 15 per cent non-convertible debentures of Supreme Petrochem Ltd, and in the depository segment, equity shares of Advani Exports Ltd, Crest Communication Ltd, DCW Ltd, Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd, KG Khosla Compressors Ltd, Kothari Products, Seshasayee Paper and Boards Ltd and Visual Soft (India) Ltd, a National Stock Exchange release said on Tuesday.
