Hyderabad, Oct 12: Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd (NFCL) has reported a 30 per cent increase in turnover for the quarter ended September 30, 1999, over the corresponding period last year.As per the unaudited financial results released on Tuesday, the company has registered a sale income of Rs 444.89 crore and a net profit of Rs 30.25 crore for the second quarter under review. The company board, which has met here on Tuesday, has taken on record the finacnial results.
For the half year ended September 30, 1999, the sale income has increased to Rs 673.71 crore from Rs 525.61 crore for the corresponding period last year. The profit has gone up from Rs 48.58 crore to Rs 54.23 crore. The urea production for the same period has increased from 5.27 lakh mt to 8.46 lakh mt, said the company release.
During the quarter under review, NFCL has reported a gross profit after interest Rs 59.71 crore as against Rs 55.88 crore for the corresponding period last year.
