New Delhi, Oct 4: The Delhi high court on Monday stayed the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI)'s order directing the department of telecom to produce files related to termination of the cellular licence of Koshika Telecom.A single judge bench of Justice MK Sharma of Delhi high court, while staying the operation of the TRAI order, posted the matter for further hearing to November 16.
DoT counsel also requested the court to stay the entire proceedings before TRAI. However, the court did not grant relief on that account to DoT.
Sources said TRAI, on its part, was proceeding as planned and would hold its hearing on the case as scheduled on Tuesday.
TRAI had passed an interim order in a case filed by a Koshika subscriber against the Union of India. In its order of September 9, TRAI had directed the Government to produce the files pertaining to the licence termination.
