Over the past 30 years, the Jain Group has been a significant player in the agriculture, irrigation, chemicals, plastics, construction, and information technology industries. The joint venture company called, `ECPI (India) Ltd,' has been awarded the contract for the construction of 12,000 homes using its unique Econ Panel System technology.

The contract's value is estimated at $20,000,000 and the company estimates a 7.5 per cent profit margin. Payment on the contract is guaranteed by Housing and Urban Development Corporation.
