Frequency allocation plan by year-endNew national frequency allocation plan (NFAP) on greater utilisation of existing spectrum resource is likely to be be finalised by the year-end. A draft of the new NFAP is being finalised. The government has decided to review the plan every two years to ensure that it falls in line with the radio regulations of international telecommunication Union (ITU). An empowered inter-ministerial "wireless planning coordination committee" will undertake periodical review of spectrum availability and broad allocation policy.
LG Soft sets up e-business unit
LG Soft India (LGSI) on Monday set up its e-business division to enter the electronic commerce service area in the country. The company plans to present a suite of specialised e-commerce services, complete with a secure online payment gateway, an official release said in Bangalore. LG e-business division also launched a set of comprehensive level services.
