Survey shows most youth favour BJP; Cong a hot second

Ravi Kapoor
New Delhi, Sept 17: Most youth are favourably inclined towards the Bharatiya Janata Party and its leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee, says a recent India Today-ORG-Marg opinion poll. It also shows that contrary to the general perception, most youth are not disgusted with the political system or politicians.

The respondents were asked to indicate their preferences in questionnaire. While 35 per cent of youngsters said that they would consider voting for BJP, 30 per cent responded in favour of the Congress. The Left, which earlier attracted the young, found acceptance among 5 per cent.
