Four Regional Rural Banks sponsored by the State Bank of Hyderabad (SBH) registered a 28 per cent rise in its deposits to Rs 78.65 crore. Advances were at Rs 200 crore. All the RRBs earned profits aggregating Rs 1044.5 lakh.

The Reserve Bank of India has announced four day fixed rate repos in Government of India securities dated August 28, 1999. HSBC-ATM branch HSBC has opened an off-branch automated teller machine in Mumbai. This machine has been relocated from the bank's nearby Tardeo ATM location.
