Electrolux in marketing tie-up with VenusHome appliances major AB Electrolux has tied-up with Venus Tapes and Records to advertise its brands - Allywn, Voltax Maxclean and Electrolux - in four forthcoming Hindi movies between May 1999 and December 2000. As part of the tie-up, there will be a one-minute commercial of the brands in each film print, besides insertion of audio jingles of the products in a minimum of 40 million Venus audio cassettes and compact discs. TV commercials will also be included in video cassettes and VCDs during this period.
Navroze Dhondy joins Percept as CEO
Navroze D Dhondy, formerly CEO of TBWA Anthem, has joined Percept Advertising as chief executive officer (CEO). He is also on the Board of Directors. In an eventful career spanning 17 years and agencies like HTA, Lintas and Anthem, Dhondy has to his credit much acclaimed campaigns like Wheel, Electrolux, Hero Puch and Birla Yamaha. Dhondy said he hoped ``to be able to harness and strengthen the potentcombination of youthful energy and strong client relationships in the agency.''
HP launches portable CD-Writer
Hewlett Packard India has introduced HP CD-Writer Plus M820e for mobile professionals. Priced at Rs 38,162, the new CD-Re Writable drive weighs less than a pound and fits in the palm of a hand. It has a SCSI interface and reads data upto 20x transfer speeds and writes/rewrites data upto 4x transfer speed. It is portable enough to take on the road with a laptop and powerful enough to use at the desktop.
Eco-friendly 2T oil from Elf
Elf Lubricants India Ltd has launched an eco-friendly 2T Oil, Elf Moto 2 Champ, designed for all 2 stroke two-wheelers. It is specially formulated with a synthetic base to guarantee low smoke emission and exceeds JASO FC, the world's most stringent emission standards. The product is priced at Rs 98 and 55 for one and half litre packs.
Adfactors launches new ad agency
The Adfactors group of companies has launched a new ad agencies calledchlorophyll. Launched on Independence Day eve, it boasts of a bank of enviable talent: two planners and three creatives. Ananth Halve, till recently the CEO of Quadrant and Manjunath Hegde, till recently a Group Account Director at Bates Clarion, are the planners. Ganga and Nalesh Patil, till recently Creative directors at Universal McCann and Kiran Khalap, till recently Chief Creative Officer of Bates Clarion, represent the creative team.
