Mumbai, Aug 24: The Mumbai high court on Tuesday restrained the promoters of ETN, a 24-hour music channel, from using the ETN logo on the channel. Entertainment Television Network, founded by Jagjit Kohli, Yogesh Radhakrishnan and Yogesh Shah, had relaunched ATN as ETN in June.Siddharth Srivastava, the founder of ATN, had moved the court, contesting the renaming.
The court has asked the ETN promoters to amend the logo of the channel. The order was passed by Justice A P Shah. Kohli and his partners, however, are given three days time to file an appeal. The court has dismissed the other contentions of Srivastava: that the channel should be stopped and the software should be attached under a receiver.
"We will be filing an appeal within a day or two," Kohli said. The trio had earlier said that they had decided to drop the ATN name as it was dogged by litigation.
