IL bags Rs 16.4cr DoT order

Instrumentation Ltd (IL) has bagged a Rs 16.4-crore order from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for supplying SBM-XL exchanges. The exchanges will be used for modernisation and expansion of telecom facilities across the country.

Clock It 2000

A Mumbai-based software firm, TCC-Datatech Ltd has come out with a unique solution to counter the millennium bug problem by using a software driver that nurses the real-time clock of the computer. Clock It 2000, which is a software driver that nurses the real-time clock and counters the Y2K problem has been developed by RGE TCC-Datatech headed by Hirji Patel. The strategy of Clock It 2000 is different form other products as it ensures that the real-time clock (RTC), basic input output system (BIOS) and the system clock are aligned.

Compuage pact with LanBit

Compuage Electronics has signed an agreement to distribute LanBit India products in the country. As per the agreement, while Compuage will lookafter distribution to channels, LanBit will concentrate on marketing, technical support and new product development.

ESC targets Latin American nations

Electronics and Computer Software Promotion Council (ESC) is targeting Latin American countries for software exports and said a high-level Indian delegation would visit some of these countries to explore the IT market potential. "In order to discuss trade and business with these Latin American countries, a delegation led by commerce secretary PP Prabhu would visit Brazil, Mexico and Chile next month," an ESC statement said.
