PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
Calcutta, Aug 16: The Indian cosmetics major Emami is entering into joint ventures in Bangladesh, Dubai and Myanmar and mulling tie-ups in several other countries to emerge as a global brand in the multi-billion dollar market for personal and health care products.

The Rs 300-crore company has formed a 51:49 joint venture with Intrade International Ltd of Bangladesh and would launch its premier segment products by next month, Enami president and CEO RK Baisya said.

The company, which has the majority stake in the new venture, targets a 10 per cent share in the more than 200 crore taka Bangladesh market by next three years, he said.
