Ramco Systems to tie up with vendors to push ERP product

K Sreedevi
Chennai, Aug 16: With a view to providing end-to-end solutions to its customers, Chennai-based ERP major, Ramco Systems, has embarked upon a third-party vendor programme called `Solution-partnership programme'.

Under this programme, Ramco hopes to combine various software solutions supplementing their ERP product, Marshal, to offer a complete business package to its clients.

For this the company plans to identify third-party vendors offering solutions which could match with their product and enter into tie-ups with them.

The firm has already identified one such software company in Singapore, called SC21, specialising in supply chain network. Ramco hopes to integrate the Singapore company's `SC21 supply chain module' in its recently acquired Thailand order.

Making its foray into the Thailand market, the company has bagged an order from Jim Thompson, a large retailer and exporter of silk, for implementing the complete suite of its Ramco e. applications. The order comprises implementation of entiresupply chain application including sales, logistics, financials and process production. As a forward integration to this order, Ramco hopes to incorporate SC21 supply chain modules as soon as the applications go live.

The software is expected to be installed at Jim Thompson's Bangkok plant in about five months time from now.
