Leo Burnett acquires 74 pc equity in ChaitraTHE Leo Burnett Company Inc. has announced it has acquired 74 per cent equity in Chaitra Leo Burnett Pvt Ltd. The Leo Burnett Company entered India in 1987 as affiliates to the Indian agency, Chaitra Advertising. The multinational advertising agency, with capitalised billings touching $ 7 billion, subsequently took over management control and operations of the agency. Clients handled by the agency today include Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Bajaj Auto, Godrej Pillsbury, Dabur, Hitachi and Heinz, among others.
Trendy lunch set from Tupperware
Tupperware has introduced Fun Munch and Magic Flow priced at Rs 220 and Rs 225, respectively. Fun Munch is a trendy lunch set targeted at kindergarten and school going children. It includes a blue square box and a 12 oz sheer blue tumbler packed away neatly in colourful backpack. Magic Flow is a container for storing liquid products like oil, syrups and soya sauce amongst others. Its airtight seal is claimed to keep the liquids fresh and nutritious for a longer period and its dripless seal makes dispensing liquids like oil hassle free.
McDonald's promo for Independence Day
T0 commemorate 52 years of Indian Independence, McDonald's Family Restaurants, Delhi has introduced a promotional offer - McDonald's Independence Meal Combos for Rs 52. The offer started on August 6, 1999, and will culminate on Independence Day. During this promotional period, McDonald's is offering two meal combos--one vegetarian and the other non-vegetarian, originally priced at Rs 67 and Rs 69, respectively, at a special price of Rs 52 each.
Onam special from World Gold Council
For the first time, World Gold Council, in association with jewellers from Kerala, will launch a special collection of 22-carat gold jewellery to commemorate the Onam festival. The collection will be available from August 12 to the first week of September in metros and mini metros like Trivandrum, Ernakulam, Calicut, Cannanore, Trichur, Palghat and Chennai. The collection uses symbols--banana leaf and hibiscus flower--which reflect the heritage of God's Own Country.
New Gliders from Liberty
Liberty Footwear Ltd has introduced new colours and styles under its Gliders U range of slip-ons. Priced at Rs 160, the range is available in blue, red, green, orange and yellow. The range is developed under Liberty's Humantech patented technology. The waterproof range is targeted at all age groups.
