Bangalore, Aug 9: Oracle India is looking for infotech firms for possible acquisitions. Oracle is also ready to fund projects of the company's partners through equity participation. "The strategy behind the move is to offer financial support to our existing partners and other infotech companies which are willing to become a part of Oracle's initiative in the country,'' Oracle Software India director (sales) T Srinivasan told The Financial Express.The recent acquisition made by Oracle India includes a software consulting company called EWI based in Bangalore. Following the acquisition of its 100 per cent stake, EWI has become an Oracle subsidiary in India.
As per the parent's global strategies Oracle has always been investing in India. "Oracle India has made substantial investments in the country by way of high quality infrastructure, a large pool of professionals and its extensive partner network," Srinivasan said without disclosing the quantum of funds invested in its facilities.
Oracle India is alsoenhancing its capacity of development centres in India by setting up a new facility in Bangalore.
